✅ Feature Purpose
This feature analyzes drone-captured images to monitor turf health (NDVI, VARI) and surface temperature (thermal imaging) across the entire course at a glance.
👷 When to Use
When you need to view and manage the entire course over the long term.
When you need to quickly and clearly check the condition of a specific green or detect potential turf diseases.
🧩 Terminology
Turf Health
NDVI): A function that visualizes turf photosynthetic activity with a color map. Enables precise turf health evaluation and identifies low-activity areas for planning disease control, fertilization, and irrigation measures.
VARI: A function that quickly measures turf greenness based on RGB photos. While not suitable for detailed diagnosis, it is useful for comparing darker or lighter turf areas.
Surface Temperature: A function that visualizes turf surface temperature distribution using thermal images. Helps identify dry, overheated, or drainage problem areas.
▎Turf Health
① When the Turf Health menu is activated, you can compare turf conditions across the entire course and quickly spot problem areas (disease, lack of moisture, etc.).
② Use the Add File button to upload previously analyzed turf health files.
Admin users can also click the Green Analysis button to analyze the VARI index of greens.
③ Select available options to view turf health data.
① VARI
Automatically generated when captured with a standard optical drone.
Check the box to view VARI.
Adjust the range (legend) and opacity to customize the visualization.
② VARI – Green
Appears after running Green Analysis.
Check the box to view only green areas with the VARI index.
Adjust the range (legend) and opacity to customize the visualization.
③ NDVI
Generated from drones equipped with multispectral sensors.
Check the box to view NDVI.
Adjust the range (legend) to customize the visualization.
▎Surface Temperature
① When the Surface Temperature menu is activated, you can detect areas with large temperature variations across the course, helping to identify summer stress zones or irrigation imbalances.
② Check the box to view surface temperature data.
- Adjust the range (legend) to customize how thermal index data is displayed.
